The Tasmania chapter of the SSSI (Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute) will host their annual regional conference in Hobart on the 4th and 5th of September.

If you are into GIS in Tasmania then this is the place to go.

The first day is reserved for workshops, an interactive tech expo and welcome drinks. The second day is on a Saturday and is a full day of presentations with parallel and plenary sessions.  The conference dinner will be held on Saturday evening and will feature the Tasmania Spatial Excellence Awards.

This year’s theme, underpinning economic development through the transformation of agri and urban landscapes, reflects the changes happening in Tasmania in both landscapes. Technology, organisational structures and community engagement are being mobilised by new and existing players in our industry. Make sure you provide your point of view by participating in this premium annual event.
